In-house perforating
We punch sheet in the MECHA workshop and can adapt the product to the customer’s application — we are a manufacturer of perforated sheet, not only a supplier.
Large stock
Stock of perforated sheet across many formats, thicknesses, materials and perforation types, with fast delivery in Romania.
Technical variety
The range covers round, square, oblong and decorative holes, Aderstop anti-slip sheet and expanded metal.
Small custom batches
We quote perforated sheet to order and special runs in small quantities, where the project does not justify a large series.
Technical guidance
We help you choose the material, the thickness, the pitch and the open area that suit the application.
At a glance
The four hole shapes
Round holes
63 patterns
Ø 0.5–30 mm, staggered at 60° (one pattern at 90°). Open area 3–64%. The general-purpose perforation: ventilation, guards, screening, filtration.
Square holes
14 patterns
Side 5–40 mm, holes in line. Open area 25–69% — the largest open areas in the range.
Oblong holes
13 patterns
From LR1,1x10 to LR8x20 (width × length, mm), staggered. Open area 21–51%. For drainage and for material that has to slide over the sheet.
Decorative
8 patterns
Six FS patterns, Fortop LL and LC, plus the H10T15 hexagonal perforation. Open area 18–44% for the FS and Fortop patterns. In steel, aluminium, anodised GOLD or BRONZE aluminium and white plastic-coated aluminium. Fortop LL and LC are shelving panels — the perforation takes the hanging bars used on shelving.
Reading the perforation code
| Code | What it means | Example |
|---|---|---|
| R + T | round hole diameter + distance between centres, staggered at 60° | R5T8 = Ø5 mm, pitch 8 mm |
| R + U | round hole, holes in line at 90° | R5U25 = Ø5 mm, pitch 25 mm |
| C + U | square hole side + distance between centres, holes in line | C10U15 = 10 mm square, pitch 15 mm |
| LR (+ Z) | oblong hole width × length; Z gives the pitch between centres | LR4x20 = 4 × 20 mm slot |
| H + T | hexagonal hole, followed by the distance between centres | H10T15 = 10 mm hexagon, pitch 15 mm |
| FS, F | decorative pattern, followed by the pitch | FS9U16, F9Z17 |
| Aderstop | embossed anti-slip sheet, round holes | Aderstop R8 U30 = Ø8 mm, pitch 30 mm |
The open area — the share of the surface taken up by the holes — is printed in the catalogue for every pattern and ranges from 3% to 69%.

Aderstop anti-slip sheet
Embossed anti-slip perforated sheet, 3 mm thick, with 8 mm holes. It prevents slipping through the raised holes and lets liquids drain through the flat ones; the 8 mm hole diameter keeps shoe heels from getting caught. With 10% transparency it avoids the feeling of panic on walkway or stair sections.
Available in steel (galvanised on request), stainless steel or aluminium. In the range: carbon steel 3 mm in 1000×2000 and 1250×2500 mm, AISI 304 stainless steel 2 mm in 1000×2000 and 1250×2500 mm.
Ordering, step by step
- Choose the hole shape — round, square, oblong or decorative — from the application: ventilation and screening, maximum open area, drainage, or architectural finish.
- Pick the pattern: hole size and pitch, which together give the open area.
- State the material, the thickness and the format.
- We confirm availability and lead time after checking. For special sizes, cut-to-size or perforation to order, send us the drawing or the technical specification.
Frequently asked questions
What does R3T5 mean?
A round hole with a diameter of 3 mm and a 5 mm distance between hole centres, staggered at 60°.
Which materials are available?
Carbon steel, galvanised steel, AISI 304, AISI 316 and AISI 430 stainless steel, aluminium, anodised aluminium in GOLD and BRONZE, and white plastic-coated aluminium.
Which standard formats exist?
1000×2000 mm, 1250×2500 mm and 1500×3000 mm, in thicknesses from 0.5 to 10 mm.
What is the open area?
The share of the sheet surface taken up by the holes. In the catalogue it ranges from 3% to 69%, depending on the perforation.
Can perforated sheet be made to order?
Yes. MECHA is a manufacturer and perforates sheet to order in its own workshop, according to the material, the thickness, the perforation and the final application.
Can perforated sheet be cut to size?
Yes, we cut to size on our own guillotine, for sheet up to 2500 mm.
Can I order small quantities?
Yes. We also quote special runs in small quantities, where the project does not justify a large series.
